Triage Process

Festival no blades

Quick Win:

  • We choose what can / can’t be repaired
  • Repair quick things
  • Refer other items to local repair cafe

No Drop-offs: Owners stay with their items, 40,000 people at the festival so no chance of finding people if item left.

Health Safety and Insurance

At the festival we are all volunteering for Stokesley and Villages Repair Cafe

  • Thank you for agreeing to the policies
  • Please remind yourself before the festival – Risk assessment – pdf
  • PAT Testing of all items to be repaired before / after repair
  • Need our own items to be PAT tested with label – either do before hand with label from our repair cafe or on arrival

Donations

All efforts to repair items, show people how to repair and even how to run their own repair cafe are free, with donations being accepted to:

  • Cover any costs of running the repair cafe
  • Reimburse repairers consumable costs
  • Any remainder will be split across all the represented repair cafes roughly proportionally to repairers involved. Repair cafes use their funds:
    • run their repair cafes
    • support repair and other environmental activities
