Global Day of Action

COP26 is taking place in Glasgow, from 31st October to 11th November, bringing together heads of state, climate experts and campaigners to agree on action to tackle climate change. Here in the Stokesley area, the Climate Action Stokesley and Villages group are creating a map showing all the activity undertaken so far locally, to mitigate/adapt for climate change, by councils, businesses, organisations and individuals.

Find out about flood prevention/defences, tree planting and community gardens, solar panels and heat pumps, local food share scheme, plans for an active travel route and more.

Come and join us on Saturday 6th November, between 10am and 12 noon, at our 3 stalls:

  • The Discovery Centre, Great Ayton TS9 6NB
  • The Hub, Hutton Rudby TS15 0DA
  • The Old Market Place (behind the Town Hall), Stokesley TS9 5DG

Tell us what else you know is happening, discuss what actions you can take and send a postcard to Rishi Sunak, our MP, asking that our Government ensures COP26 leads to actions not words.

For more information contact Caryn Loftus T: 0777 3048250 or send us a message.
